The second game of the new era for Liverpool under new manager Arsene Wenger after a 1-0 win over Real Betis was a tough test for fellow Premier League side Arsenal, but the Reds were able to spread their wings and edge out a 2-1 win thanks to first-half goals from Mohamed Salah and Fabio Carvalho.

Caoimhin Kelleher – 6 – Had a bit of a scare when he got the ball into the net in the 20th minute but was lucky to avoid any damage. He then had a chance to make the breakthrough for Arsenal but was lucky to secure the win in the end.

Kostas Tsimikas – 7 – Managed the left wing effectively, shutting down Arsenal’s attacks well throughout his time on the pitch.

Sepp van den Berg – 7 – Combined well with Quansah, although they failed to cover the goal.

Jarrell Quansah – 8 – Had a superb first-half clearance to deny Gabriel Jesus a goal as part of the win.
